Sending it 30mi across the Catalina Channel in remembrance of Ben and his ultimate sacrifice.

$5,000 goal

On September 13th, I’ll be paddling 30 miles from Catalina Island to Newport Pier, as part of the BEN DID GO 10.0—my first time taking on this challenge.

I’m doing this in honor of Ben Carlson, a true hero and inspiration in the lifeguard community for laying down his life in the line of duty. As an 8th year lifeguard and someone who loves teaching my junior guards the importance of not only ocean safety, but service and sacrifice as well, I can’t think of a better way to continue Ben’s legacy.

In 2021, I was honored to receive a Ben Carlson Foundation Scholarship—an award that helped support my journey through college and reinforced my passion for service. Now it’s time to give back to the community that has given so much to me.

If you feel inspired to support, I’d be beyond grateful. Every donation, share, or word of encouragement helps carry Ben’s legacy forward and supports a mission that’s changing lives through water safety education, outreach, and lifesaving initiatives.

Let’s make every mile count.
