MAP International is responding to urgent requests from relief partners, hospitals, and government agencies all across the United States and other countries abroad for critically needed personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, coveralls, and personal cleansing wipes.

To date, MAP has delivered over 3,000,000 masks, 600,000 pairs of gloves and more than 10,000 protective suits to relief partners. In addition, we have been providing medicines and supplies to treat COVID-19 patients and protect health professionals in eight countries including El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nigeria.

MAP has been responding to this global health crisis since the initial outbreak. As the pandemic has worsened, our response has expanded to include the United States. Our domestic shipments have gone to support hospitals, clinics, hospices, nursing homes, in-home healthcare workers, HIV patients, special-needs patients, homeless populations, students and first responders across the country.

We expect to be delivering more in the weeks ahead. Because our resources are stretched thin from providing aid in the very early stages of the coronavirus crisis, MAP needs to raise more to ship medicines and health supplies to hospitals in the United States and our field partners around the world.

Two billion people in some of the world’s poorest countries lack access to even the most basic medicines, as well as personal hygiene products such as soap that can help slow the spread of the virus. In places where healthcare is already non-existent, not having access to things like soap can be deadly in a pandemic.
