In May of this year, I will be going back to India for the second time with the For All Mankind Movement! FAMM does work in Dubai and India sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the least reached people, generally immigrant workers. Specifically in India, FAMM focuses on doing ministry in the brick factories. People work and live in these factories and make thousands of bricks by hand per day, and are truly considered "the least of these" there. At this time, FAMM is the only group trying to reach these men, women, and children with the good news of Jesus, and the organization does so by throwing Compassion Kit Parties.
A Compassion Kit Party is a night where the factory gathers, FAMM comes prepared with a small gift for each family who attends, and the hope of God is shared in the form of story telling- simply retelling the stories in the Bible so that those who hear it can receive and learn it well. My favorite part of doing this is looking into a crowd of people who have never heard a message of Hope and being able to literally see them start to believe in the power of a man named Jesus. He changes lives before our eyes, and hundreds come to faith in Christ on each trip. Along with that, a lot of "story groups" which are essentially house churches are started in the factories so that those who showed interest in Christianity can be discipled and grow more in faith.
The coolest thing about this trip is that it is 100% geared toward the goal of advancing the Kingdom of God. Though we will get to meet some needs, hold sweet babies, and have an awesome cultural experience, every part of this trip is focused on sharing the Gospel!
