Support Realms Students in Learning Beyond the Classroom
The funds we raise support Realms Middle and High Schools in providing the kind of hands-on, meaningful learning that inspires curiosity and confidence. Your donation fuels the heart of our educational model: fieldwork, intensives, and electives that bring lessons to life.
At Realms, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Students step into forests, rivers, and local communities to explore, question, and make an impact. They partner with local organizations, complete environmental studies, and contribute through service projects that teach real-world responsibility.
This approach, called Expeditionary Learning, connects academics to authentic experiences. It teaches problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking in ways that last a lifetime. Realms students graduate not only prepared for high school or college, but equipped to lead, adapt, and care deeply about their world.
Each year, students spend dozens of days in the field, experiences made possible through the generous support of families and community members like you.
Your contribution helps ensure that every student continues to experience the wonder, challenge, and growth that define Realms.
Join us in keeping these experiences thriving—donate today and help our students continue learning beyond the classroom.
"Sophomore year using knowledge from art, biology, literature and composition, and outdoor recreation we created a cookbook with our art and recipes and using ingredients that are native to central Oregon. In biology we learned how to identify plants, which we harvested ourselves at Tumalo Park, at Tumalo we also used the leave-no-trace skills that we learned in outdoor recreation. In art, we composed still art of our plants to put in our recipe book, and in lit and comp we composed the recipes for the book. Your contribution will help fund more immersive class experiences like this." - Emma (Senior)
"Since my Freshman year, each intensive week has been some of the most memorable and meaningful days that I have experienced here at Realms. Each intensive week I've been in, from fermentation, to photography, and music, has taught me a new skill in a way that has made it fun and approachable that I wouldn’t be able to learn the same way that I have here at Realms." - Zeke (Junior)
