I found Woodlands Wildlife Refuge through an ad for volunteers while I was in college. I volunteered for 5 years prior to joining the small-but-mighty staff team! I have now been on staff for 10 years and have helped rehabilitate thousands of animals!

About Woodlands Wildlife Refuge:

Woodlands Wildlife Refuge is a 501c3 organization and for 35 years has been dedicated to the care and release of orphaned and injured wildlife and educating the public about wild animal habits and habitats. Woodlands receives no state or federal funding and cares for over 1700 wild animals annually including endangered species and species of special concern.

There is an increasing need for wildlife rehabilitation services. In the past few years, wild patient admissions have doubled. Woodlands addresses this demand by offering our services year round and has never turned away an animal. Even with careful planning, generous in-kind donations, and management of our resources, Woodlands cannot account for unforeseen circumstances and unusual animal intakes.

Funding from this project will ensure that we can continue developing our critical care program, address our most important necessities, care for the greatest number of wild patients, give the best care possible, and not turn away animals in need.
