I have been working for Ascentria In-Home Care for over 13 years. We provide non-medical home care to individuals throughout NH. The majority of our clients are on the Medicaid Choices for Independence Program.
It is important that people are able to live independently and age in a place of their choosing. Those in the CFI program have met a nursing home level of care, but are able to live at home with supports in place.
While I do not work directly with our clients, I do see the difference this program makes. From providing respite to family caregivers, companionship, transportation to run errands so they can buy their own groceries, clothing, necessary items, to having a hot meal cooked for them. This work matters.
Our low-income older adults and adults with disabilities in our community are struggling to make ends meet in this economy, and any help you can provide will go directly to them. Gift cards will be provided for food and necessary items for them to remain at home as long as possible.
Working for a non-profit that provides community supports and who advocates for those individuals to have better lives is important to me. All humans matter.
Make it personal:
I know how much a simple support like groceries can ease stress for a client.
This cause matters to me because independence at home is something every person deserves.
I’m sharing this because small acts of generosity can make a real difference for a neighbor.
Direct ask:
This NH Gives, I’m helping raise support for grocery gift cards and basic essentials for clients who are struggling with the rising cost of living. A simple gift can help put food on the table and ease pressure for a neighbor who is already doing their best to get by.
Thank you for supporting this work and for helping NH neighbors remain safe, nourished, and cared for at home.
