This Sweet Boy could not catch a break!

This 6-yr old boy we named River, was hit by a car in Anaheim and found himself at the OC Animal Shelter with a broken leg and unable to urinate or defecate on his own for 72 hours.

Facing euthanasia, SAFE Rescue Team came up with a plan! We picked him up and transported him to our amazing orthopedic Smart Approach Veterinary Services in Santa Monica for emergency surgery.

The x-rays showed not only did River have a fractured rear left leg, he had multiple broken ribs and a dislocated/twisted front right shoulder. River's veterinary bills have exceeded over $7,000 and we need your help! 🙏🙏🙏
