Give 8/28 - Fundraising Campaign

As some of you may know, I recently changed jobs and am now working as the Development Coordinator for the Martin Luther King Sr. Community Resources Collaborative in Atlanta, GA, where I will move in the next few months.

While I have only been with the Collaborative since May, it has been an intense learning experience. We do many things-- from providing free workforce training to assisting people in getting photo IDs to organizing PPE distribution. 

One of the areas that I have been most involved in, however, has been in helping the Collaborative to fight housing insecurity in the metro-Atlanta area. Especially in the aftermath of COVID-19, many families are having a hard time making rent and paying utilities. Even before COVID-19, 5.12% of renting families were evicted every year.

With your support, we can offer more assistance and expand our programming that aims to tackle root causes of housing insecurity and provide pathways to better jobs.
