Giving a Child the Chance to Stand Tall

Imagine a child who has never run a race, kicked a ball, or walked to school without pain. Conditions like club feet, dysplastic hips, and severe skeletal deformities don’t just limit mobility—they steal a child's independence, isolate them from their peers, and cloud their future with physical and emotional pain.

This September, I am stepping into an operating room in Ecuador with Operation Rainbow. Our sharp focus for this mission is pediatric orthopedic surgery. We are going to straighten limbs, rebuild joints, and give impoverished children who have been left behind by the medical system the chance to walk, run, and live without limits.

To get my hands to work in that OR, I need a little help getting my boots on the ground.

Why This Orthopedic Mission Matters

Since 1978, Operation Rainbow has transformed the lives of more than 18,000 children across the globe. Orthopedic anomalies in developing nations can be devastating; without access to advanced surgical care, a correctable condition like a club foot or a misaligned hip can become a lifelong disability.

We aren't traveling as tourists. From the moment we land, it is a race against the clock to help as many children as possible:

  • The Heavy Lifting: Packing, weighing, and hauling massive duffel bags of heavy orthopedic hardware, surgical instruments, and medical supplies.

  • Clinic Sunday: Meeting hundreds of anxious, hopeful families, evaluating young patients, and preparing the operating rooms.

  • The Marathon: Four intense days of back-to-back surgeries, casting, alignment corrections, and post-op care.

We don't cut corners. We provide the exact same elite standard of orthopedic care, precision, and respect that we would in a top-tier U.S. hospital, regardless of the challenging conditions of a developing nation. We also work side-by-side with local doctors and nurses, sharing techniques so the care continues long after we fly home.

How You Can Join the Mission

Our medical team volunteers donate 100% of their time, expertise, and personal vacation days to perform these surgeries. However, we are responsible for covering our own travel, lodging, and logistics to get there.

That is where you come in. By donating to this fundraiser, you aren't just helping cover a flight or a hotel room—you are directly placing a critical member of the surgical team into an operating room where a child is waiting for a miracle. Your support bridges the gap between a lifetime of disability and a lifetime of movement.

Where Your Donation Goes:

  • Travel & Flights: Getting me and heavy, vital orthopedic surgical equipment safely to Ecuador.

  • Accommodations & Logistics: Basic lodging and transport to and from the hospital during our intensive mission week.

No donation is too small. If you cannot give financially right now, sharing this page with your friends, family, and community means the world to me.

Every child deserves the chance to take their first straight steps. Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your support in helping me change futures in Ecuador.

Let’s help these children stand tall together.
