Let's keep rolling!

While our client workers were sheltering in place during the onset of the COVID pandemic, the entire BAWAC transportation department stepped up to take on deliveries for NKADD and Meals on Wheels of Ohio.  In addition to delivering for Meals on Wheels, we have delivered from the FreeStore in Wilder to many different food pantries such as, FCC Community Food Pantry in Owenton, Falmouth Senior Center, and Gallatin Senior Center in Warsaw, and more.  Back in May of 2020 we started helping with food deliveries from the Carroll County Senior Center to 53 individual homes in Carrollton.  Since the outbreak of the pandemic, we started helping NKADD and FTSB with medical runs as well.  Many of our drivers who no longer have routes are now helping to fulfill our vendor contracts by assisting with piece work in the BAWAC production department, while others have been furloughed.  Fortunately, we have been able to welcome back a percentage of our client employees and some of our routes have picked back up.  Through it all, our transportation department still maintains their commitment to serving the needs of the community while supporting the gaps we continue to experience on the BAWAC work floor.  With your help, we can ensure BAWAC transportation will continue to always be in motion!  #TogetherWeRise
