Dear Friends and Family,
I am now participating in my third year of an organization called Builders Beyond Borders where students like me get the opportunity to make a great contribution to other communities.
This youth organization is a tool for teenagers to learn leadership and responsibility. It has exposed me to an incredible amount of knowledge and understanding of the world around me.
Previously I traveled to the Dominican Republic to build classrooms, and Guatemala to build homes. They were experiences that truly made me grow as a person and serve as one of the most valuable things that I have done in my lifetime.
This April break I will be accompanying my team on a journey to Costa Rica to support a community in need. We will be building a community center to address their struggles and help these extremely deserving people thrive!
In order for me to complete this journey with my team, I am required to raise a total of $3,100. This money goes toward construction supplies, program/travel expenses and any other materials needed to complete our project.
Another aspect of this life-shaping organization is the local services. We are also required to complete a minimum of 6 hours of community service here at home, and I am proud to have contributed to so many needed projects that supported the concerns of our neighborhoods.
Additionally, I am yet again beyond excited to be a part of such an extraordinary group of people that build friendships and join me in an experience of cultural exchange and charity. I have this program, Builders Beyond Borders, to thank for this.
I would be incredibly thankful to gain your support so I have the ability to take part in this again. You could help me make a change! I thank you for taking the time to read this letter and I hope you consider donating, so I can help others in need.
Sincerely,
Sasha Moffly
