The 2021 Spring Appeal is a direct-giving campaign that runs April 23rd - May 31st.  

To help close our budgetary gap this year, the PTA is holding this final fundraising event. Please give as generously as you can and help us meet our fundraising goal of $50,000 by May 31st

It has been an extremely challenging year for all of us.  We understand many families in our community are experiencing emotional, physical, and/or financial stresses.  As we finish this unusual school year, we greatly miss not holding two of our long-standing, beloved community events - the Abernethy Auction and Fun Run.  

Missing these fundraising opportunities has also left a deficit in our PTA budget, putting at risk much of the critical support for students and teachers we've come to rely on.  Community fundraising helps to fund extra instructional and library support, a literacy specialist, scholarships for aftercare and extracurricular activities for families in need, extra books and supplies in classrooms and so much more, both at Abernethy and at other schools around our district, via The Fund for PPS. 

As we prepare for the 2021/22 school year, we are asking families to please give what you can, and perhaps consider what you would have given if the Auction and Fun Run were held as usual this year. A donation of $125 per student will allow us to meet our obligations for next year.
