Charlie “Chuck” Scott, a beloved PCSS coach and former athlete died on April 1, 2022 in a tragic skiing accident. He was 21 years old.

Chuck coached with PCSS for 3 years, most recently as the assistant Park & Pipe Regional Team coach. Chuck was also gifted athletically and won the 2017 Junior National Championship in Slopestyle. He was an inspiration to many, and touched the hearts of countless Freeskiers and members of the Park City community. He was kind and generous with his friendship, time, and mentoring.

Mac Forehand, 2022 Olympic Big Air and Slopestyle athlete said this about Chuck: Chuck had the "biggest smile in skiing."

Chuck was a cherished member of the PCSS family. His longtime coach and mentor Chris “Hatch” Haslock said “we will miss him dearly and remember him for the enormous impact he made on so many, in a life that was cut way too short.”

Charlie’s family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, those wishing to celebrate his passionate Stoke for PCSS and the freeski community, please consider a donation to PCSS in his memory.
