Helping Make Dreams Come True

The Barbara Lewis King Scholarship Foundation has been awarding scholarships since 1997 to deserving college bound high schools students. 

 For the year 2020-2021 we are presenting a  series of College Workshops bringing students vital information to help them prepare for college.  The first workshop "Navigating FAFSA" was in October in conjunction with the Georgia Student Finance Commission, in November "Writing Winning College Essays", with Dr. Tony Burks  and the January workshop, Financial Literacy, the dates of the remaining workshops, TBA.  We are seeking sponsors for these workshops.

The pandemic  (COVID-19) this year has caused parents and students financial hardships.  Many students may have to put off college simply due to the loss of income  their parents  have suffered. For some students the job they have working to saving money for college, now has to go towards helping the family.
