The River Falls Community Food Pantry (RFCFP) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that serves over 1,400 households in the River Falls School District. These residents are at the poverty level or classified as ALICE, (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed). In the city of River Falls these households comprise about 56% of the population. Many residents are living paycheck to paycheck and are working 2-3 jobs just to survive. Since 2008, food insecurity has remained at historic levels. RFCFP would like to serve more River Falls residents through additional community outreach and food service options, but the previous location's space limitations sometimes made food distribution and storage a challenge. It could be a crowded shopping environment for customers and because of the limited space we were unable to provide widespread community education.

In October of 2018 the pantry purchased land at 705 St. Croix St.  The groundbreaking ceremony was held on April 16th of 2019 and construction of a new 5200 sq. ft. building began. This space ensures that we are financially sustainable and be able to serve the growing needs of the community. The new building opened on October 21st, 2019.
