Hi- We are the family of Breelyn Elizabeth who died of SIDS on June 17, 2016. We received so much support from the Center for Infant and Child Loss (CICL). We received calls, counseling, cards, and more. To this day, some of our closest friends are those we met in loss group. The services that CICL provides feel like a lifeline when your child dies. CICL also distributes our Breelyn's Blanket Brigade blankets to Maryland hospitals.
After 45 years, CICL has lost their funding and unless they can raise $48,000 by June 30, they will cease to exist. This means that when a baby or child dies in Maryland- parents won't have support reaching out to them. These parents may be alone.
Because we belive in CICL, we support them monthly, but we can't do $48k on our own... we need your help- and we are ready to "sweeten the deal."
One of our last family activities with Breelyn was strawberry picking... and it's now strawberry season! If you donate $30, Summer and Brooklyn Dawn will make you a strawberry treat and will either deliver or mail it to you. Our most recent creation was strawberry cookies:)
I know that it's a crazy time... but babies are still going to die. Black babies, brown babies, white babies, too many babies. Help us provide support to all families who lose a baby or child in Maryland.
