Young Friends of the Everglades empowers youth to be informed change-makers in their communities and beyond.


Everglades Learning Exploration Kits

Packed with original lessons and professionally curated resources inspired by the legacy of Marjory Stoneman Douglas, our Exploration Kits bring an Everglades experience right to classrooms, at no cost to educators. 


Classroom Workshops

Our immersive classroom presentations invite students to dive into the fascinating world of the Everglades with our Young Friends expert educators as they discover what makes this unique ecosystem so special. 


Future Goals

In 2024, we hope to expand our program to include the following:

  • A class set of our brand new game, Everglades Food Chain, in each kit
  • Facilitated field trips to the Everglades for participating Title I schools
