21% of Missouri IEPs are serviced in the St. Louis region. The work we do is state-wide, but there's a huge demographic of students who need educational advocacy in this area.
Many families lack the resources to hire an advocate or attorney and MoDE is committed to standing in the gap. Whether we're offering time with a volunteer advocate to help them develop action steps to resolving their issue, hosting an educational event to empower famlies with information about the special education process, awarding grants to access a paid professional who will fight for their child's rights, or swimming upstream to improve laws that impact students with disabilities--we want to help, but that help is funded through caring individuals like YOU!
