One Day in May for Grand Area Mentoring 2019

On May first, please join us for One Day in May, 24 hours of gratitude for all that mentoring accomplishes. Nobody grows up right without mentoring!

Youth say things like: "Mentoring makes me feel someone has my back."

Teachers say things like: "The value of the mentoring relationship is beyond measure, because we are dealing with a child’s view of themselves and how they fit into life. The transformation is a beautiful process to watch – a true life-changing experience."

Parents say things like: "Mentoring has been great for my child. Between mentoring and therapy, I have seen great improvements with his behavior at school and at home. Thank you!"

On the first of May, Grand Area Mentoring will reach out to citizens, businesses, and groups with the aim of raising $5,000. Donations will be used to buy mentoring activity materials and pay for fingerprint background checks of mentor candidates. Gifts large and small go a long way in helping us screen and supply mentors! 

Examples:

1 mentor background check = $37

1 soccer ball = $16

1 board game  = $25

1 site's annual paper supply = $75

1 site's annual paint supply = $100
