My name is Joe and I have had the honor of recently being elected to the Project Return Peer Support Network (PRPSN) Board of Directors. I've had the pleasure of working on various programs and project with PRPSN since its inception in 2010. It has remained true to its values and mission of creating opportunities for connection that enrich and inspire individuals with mental illness to pursue a life without limits.
One of the programs that enriches and inspires through providing a safe and comforting to its guests is its Peer Respite House. Peer respite is more than just a place to stay; it’s a sanctuary where individuals can find support, understanding, and a path to recovery in a community-based, non-clinical environment. The importance of these spaces cannot be overstated—they offer a critical alternative to hospitalization, providing a safe, compassionate setting where people can heal.
PRPSN in in the process of acquiring a second Peer Respite House to expand the service and needs our support to help make the new house a welcoming and safe place.
I am asking for your support in this effort. Your contribution will help furnish and equip the new house, directly impacting PRPSN's ability to offer comfort, care, and hope to those who need it the most.
Any amount is appreciated. Please join in this vital effort. Together we can take charge and make a difference.
