This year has certainly been full of surprises and challenges that have presented new obstacles for educators throughout the country.  Masks, social distancing and Zoom are not ideal tools for hands-on exploration and engaging students in learning. 

However, with creative thinking and innovative approaches to connecting with students, Talcott Mountain Science Center & Academy educators have risen to the challenge of teaching in the COVID-19 environment, but it's come at an additional cost.

We have gone above and beyond to make learning accessible to all students -- whether they're learning in the classroom or at home. We have even started using public television to bring science to families at home... and we continue to investigate new ways to reach students remotely. 

With in-school learning limited for so many, 
it's important that no child be left behind.
