Helping at-risk dogs find new homes takes a team, a lot of training, patience, and support.

The latest threat that has emerged in life saving affects approximately 5% (over 100,000 each year) of all sheltered dogs, rendering them unadoptable. They are suffering behaviorally, and without intervention, could face being warehoused in a shelter for the rest of their lives...or worse...killed.

In response, we opened our first Canine Center in Florida: an advanced training facility for at-risk dogs that are considered more challenging.  Dogs Playing for Life brings these dogs to Canine Center Florida to receive training, love, and growth. With 13 fully-fenced acres, the vast property provides the perfect environment to help these dogs thrive and progress to adoptability.

From transportation, care and feeding, to training and enrichment, this is your opportunity to make a difference in the way at-risk dogs' lives are saved and make them healthier candidates for adoption.

Because of the sheer number of dogs impacted,  and having demonstrated success over the past two years, the number of requests we receive from shelters is overwhelming.  In order to keep pace, we have to be able to support more dogs, more quickly - and this requires more training, tools, enrichment, and people.  As a free resource to the sheltering community we need contributions to make this all possible.

Please join our growing support team today and watch your contribution at work helping dogs at our Canine Centers!
