Belle's Buddies to the Rescue!

Dear Friends!  

My sweet dog, Belle (pictured here), was brought to HSMO by her original family who had fallen on hard times and could no longer provide the care she needed.  They knew HSMO would take good care of her until she found her next home.   Since my family adopted her 5 years ago, she has been teaching humane education programs at HSMO as a shelter dog ambassador, promoting messages of kindness and empathy for animals. 

Your donation will give the next animal who comes to our door, or whom we meet in the street, the 2nd chance they so very much deserve.  

How your donation helps: 

The Humane Society of Missouri operates across the entire state of MO and has been giving second chances to homeless animals for 150 years.    As an open-admission animal shelter, we don't turn away any animal in need.  

Thanks to amazing supporters like you, together we accomplished the following in 2019!  

• We adopted 9,733 dogs, cats, critters, horses and other farm animals into loving homes. 
• We performed 33,043 patient visits in our veterinary clinics
• We performed 9,727 low and no-cost spay/neuter surgeries
• Our Animal Cruelty Taskforce traveled 341,021 miles to conduct 8,960 responses to reports of abuse and neglect involving 19,909 animals.
• maintained a 4 star rating on Charity Navigator 
• We reached 30,306 children and adults through our humane and character education programs designed to inspire kindness, respect and responsible care for animals. 

This kind of life-saving impact can only happen with the help of donors like you.
