Patrick Bobo - Family Promise 20 Years of Service

I got involved with Family Promise in 2014, primarily because I wanted to help homeless children in the Chattanooga area. Children are the fastest growing segment of the homeless population, and I was compelled by the fact that there are over 1,700 homeless children in the Hamilton County School District that need our help.  I am proud to say that, in addition to families, Family Promise also now provides services and support to our area military veterans who are experiencing homelessness. 

Family Promise helps stabilize the lives of these children and veterans by providing the following services: safe overnight shelter, a day center, meals, transportation, case management, life-skills classes, counseling and therapy, and other supportive services. Most importantly, Family Promise places these families in permanent housing, which takes less than two months on average.
