The 2026, 22nd Annual, Cycle Across Illinois Ride is a charitable event that raises money and awareness for the Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors Organization (ICOPS). This year's ride will take place Thursday, July 9 to Sunday, July 12, 2026, and will cover approximately 320 miles across the State of Illinois, from Edwardsville to Springfield, to Bloomington, to Bourbonnais, to Chicago.
This will be my third year participating in the event.
Each year, between 140 - 160 Police Officers are killed in the line of duty nationally. ICOPS provides resources to assist in rebuilding of the lives of surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, as determined by Federal criteria. Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors provide emotional and financial support, as well as legal assistance to survivors of fallen officers.
The Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors is a State Chapter of the National Organization and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates solely on charitable donations and fundraisers.

"We ride with purpose and pride to honor the legacy of fallen Law Enforcement Officers. Through every mile, our cycling group seeks to preserve their memory, support their families and strengthen the bond between the community and those who serve. With Unity, respect and dedication, we pedal forward to ensure their sacrifice is never forgotten." - 2026 Cycle Across Illinois Team
