Help support students travel to Albany on March 5th to advocate for campus sexual assault services.

The New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault will be leading a group traveling from NYC up to Albany on March 5, 2024 for an in-person Advocacy Day to support increased investment in Enough is Enough programs.  We have been overwhelmed with interest from college students to join the cause, and we need your help to cover the costs of their travel.  The Alliance will be renting vans to transport students and we plan to buy lunch for our travelers, but we are prohibited from using our existing grant funding to pay for advocacy.  Legislators need to hear directly from students about the critical need for more sexual assault services on their campuses - their participation will be key to our success.  Please support our campaign.

CAMPAIGN BACKGROUND:

Though Enough is Enough programming has done much to connect survivors of gender-based violence to trauma-informed, community-based services and to promote much critical prevention programming, there remain a number of gaps in service delivery and access to students across the state. Over 60 higher education campuses in New York are not affiliated with an official EIE-designated program, this accounts for over 92,000 students lacking access to critical services.
