Ana for Tropical Audubon Society

Working at Tropical Audubon Society is more than a profession for me, it’s personal. I moved to South Florida over a decade ago drawn by the beauty of its beaches, the spectacular Everglades birds, and the chance to live in the 305 where I can be outdoors 365. Any given weekend you can find me outdoors with my family, birding at a local park, kayaking through mangroves, swimming or fishing along the coast or tending my native plant garden at home. These landscapes shape my life here, and they continue to ground me every single day.

I work at Tropical Audubon because I cherish South Florida’s wildlife and wild places, and I’m passionate about advocating to preserve and protect them for generations to come. Known as “South Florida’s Voice of Conservation,” our organization has spent decades on the frontlines: standing strong against contamination of our drinking water, defending the Urban Development Boundary, safeguarding Endangered Species, and fighting to protect our region’s Globally Critically Imperiled Pine Rockland habitat.
