Flagging Virtual Studio resident DJ Michael Rackley was asked if he would like to put out a tip jar for his beautiful music at our weekly online event.
He generously responded that he would like any such tips to go to support local arts that have been so traumatized by current events, and specifically selected LEVYdance.
LEVYdance has been an amazing home to flaggers in San Francisco for over 2 years, supporting our monthly Flagging Open Studio and yearly Flag Alley. They work with us on all sorts of odd requests (such as having ALL the lights turned off!) cheerfully and without complaint.
Facing the harsh reality of the current pandemic and its impact, LEVYdance may have to close its doors permanently. They can survive with our help.
LEVYdance is a nonprofit arts organization with limited resources. Income from its regular programming and studio rentals – that was used to help them meet their monthly rent and staff expenses – has totally evaporated with the cancellation of classes.
If you enjoy Michael's happy and uplifting sets - if they help you get through the week - and IF you are in a secure financial situation - please consider putting a tip in his jar to help LEVYdance.
This is an ongoing fundraiser designed to replace the revenue LEVYdance is losing from our monthly Flagging Open Studio.
Suggested donation: $5.
(note: there is a small service fee taken from your donation. Hug Monster will cover this for everyone that donates.)
