Young Garnet has undergone treatment for leukemia, including medication and radiation, and thankfully is now reported to be in remission and no longer receiving either treatment! His sister is living with ADHD and severe pica, a condition that causes her to eat non-food items and has led to frightening medical complications and serious illness. Along with caring for their children, Mrs. Garnet is managing a rare form of anemia, while Mr. Garnet is living with diabetes. Through all these challenges, this family could certainly use some extra love, kindness, and happiness.
