A Heartbreaking Life for 6 Puppies

Six adorable puppies desperately need our help. These poor puppies lost their mother either to poisoning or by getting hit by a car. It is devastating to think that one day, their mother just stopped coming to care for them. These tiny 7 week old babies were found alone in an empty school in Puerto Rico. Their mama tried her best to keep them alive and safe, but once the security guard on the property noticed that she stopped visiting, the guard immediately called for help. A kind woman was able to feed the puppies to ensure they did not starve, but it is time for a rescue to step in and bring them to the DC area. Homeward Trails heard the call for help from their Puerto Rico rescue partner and wants to step up as soon as possible to get these puppies to safety. This rescue is more difficult than many others as we have to secure 6 flights in addition to a lot of vet care to get the puppies to a place of health.
