Maddie Reiser Board 2 JTFGB 23-24

I am now in my final year of JTFGB, a member of board 2, and am on the leadership council. Our board chose to focus on teen mental health as our issue area for this year. I believe that mental health is something that is often overlooked although there has been a rapid increase in mental health diagnosis throughout the past few years. It is important to raise awareness about mental health because many people do not understand the impact it makes on others lives. We are a dedicated group of Jewish Teens in the Greater Boston area empowered by our values of hope, perseverance, and social responsibility. Through fundraising and allocating grants to non-profits, we strive to decrease the stigma around mental health issues and make resources for teens seeking help more accessible.
