ECWC Erie Gives 2026 -Jill Amenta

When I first started looking for a place to volunteer, I didn't know much about the center. Like so many others, cancer has touched my life in profound ways. I've lost a niece, an uncle, and close friends to the disease, so I wanted to learn more about the center and the work it does.

I still remember the moment I walked through the doors. I immediately felt a sense of calm, and everyone welcomed me with such warmth and kindness. As I met participants in the center's programs and listened to their stories about the support, hope, and strength they had found there, I knew I had found the right place to volunteer.

It's truly remarkable that Erie has a place like this—one that provides so many free services and meaningful support to individuals and families navigating the challenges of cancer. I'm grateful to be part of an organization that makes such a profound difference in our community.
