Glitz, Glam, & Gowns

Glitz, Glam, and Gowns is a FREE Formal Dress Shopping event for teen girls in foster care in Alabama. All girls in grades 9th-12th are invited to join us for this event to help them get what they need for their special spring events! We currently have about 700 dresses that have been donated by the community, and we are in the process of collecting more. Since we will be transporting about 12 racks of dresses to these three cities over the course of six days beginning on February 27th, we have begun the process of renting a 20-foot box truck from our local U-HAUL. Given that the price of the truck for that size and for that amount of time is $700, we are actively seeking donations to help cover this cost. This truck is vital to our mission of giving foster and adoptive care girls the opportunity to attend their formal events in a dress that they feel confident and beautiful in!
