In many rural areas, long distances, limited transportation, and scarce public transit make it nearly impossible for older adults to reach medical care, grocery stores, or essential services. A volunteer driver program becomes the lifeline that bridges these gaps, ensuring safe, reliable, and no‑cost transportation. But providing fee‑free rides requires resources—insurance, training, coordination, and mileage reimbursement.

Without community support, the program cannot sustain the rising demand. Donations and volunteers, ensure that every essential trip can still happen, keeping older adults connected, healthy, and independent. Supporting this service strengthens the entire community by ensuring no one is isolated simply because of where they live.

If you would like to make a general donation, your support would help older adults stay independent, connected, and safe in their own communities. A donation today ensures vital services—like meals, transportation, and caregiving support—remain available to every senior who needs them.

Looking for a meaningful way to give back?
Our Agency on Aging is seeking compassionate community members to volunteer as driver volunteers, board members, or advisory council members. Whether you help provide rides, guide our mission, or share your expertise, your time directly supports older adults’ independence, safety, and quality of life. Join us and make a lasting difference for seniors in our community—one ride, one voice, one idea at a time.
