mYAMAdventure 2017 hiking for the PCTA

2016 has been the best year ever. I've gone the last 7 months without a computer, floated the majority of The Buffalo River, hiked numerous trails and loops in the area, and have spent the last 2-3 months preparing for my next adventure.  

I realized this year that I'm most happy away from material things, just outside in nature living in the moment. There's more to life than just having a good job, and paying bills over and over. I want to push myself mentally and physically I want to see things and experience things that only a handful of people will ever have the chance to do. I don't want to turn 50 years old and be unable to do the things I want to do now.

With that being said some of you already know I have been planning to thru hike The Pacific Creat Trail this summer. I will start early May at the Mexico border and end sometime in September in Canada. I have all of the things I need to complete this journey already and can't wait to finally start walking and share my journey with all of you. I'm part of an awesome mentorship program thanks to Yama mountain gear where I'm being mentored by some really amazing people who have completed the trail in the past.

I'm also hiking to raise money for the PCTA which is the pacific crest trail association, without this group of volunteers there would be no trail for all of us to enjoy.
