Children's Jazz Festiva' In The Country Aug. 2/25

As an instructor I taught English, Journalism, Vocal Music and Speech.  One year, we had music Fridays.  I brought various genre of music and then students challenged me to listen to their rap songs.  Throughout my tenure, no one ever introduce black students to jazz.  Stir Up The Gift Enterprise moved to Memphis from St. Louis, Missouri and introduced cultural arts in the country where we own farmland.  This year we wanted to add Jazz music to an array of poetry, storytelling and theatre arts to create hopefully a new interest in music to the young generation who are only accustomed to gospel, rhythm and blues, and naturally hip-hop.  Please help us bring outstanding musicians to the arena of games and cultural arts.  We would like the participants to devote a short period of time during performances to teach children about the cultural of jazz.
