This #GivingTuesday, join us in uplifting underserved youth in the South Puget Sound region. With your support, the Pearl Foundation of Puget Sound provides mentorship, career readiness, scholarships, and financial literacy programs that transform potential into opportunity.

Our Mission: The Pearl Foundation fosters self-confidence, leadership, and positive decision-making for underserved young men and women. We provide financial assistance via our scholarship program and connect youth with industry to develop and nurture their professional interests. pearlfoundationofpugetsound.org

What we do:

  • Passport 2 Manhood Program: Our 16-session program for boys (8–14) guides them through character development, responsibility, and the transition to adulthood — helping them recognize their unique talents and place in the community.

  • Cub Scouts Program: Launching in 2026, this program introduces boys to teamwork, leadership, and community service through the Cub Scouting experience — helping them build confidence and life skills in a fun, structured environment.

  • Career Readiness Workshop: For high school-aged youth (15–18), we offer guidance on next steps — college, trade school, military, or workforce — so they can craft a plan for success.

  • Scholarship Program: We award scholarships (e.g., three $2,500 awards this year) to graduating seniors who demonstrate excellence in academics, service, and extracurricular activities, supporting their continued education.

  • Financial Literacy: We believe that knowledge about money, decision-making, and opportunities can change futures. That’s why we equip young people to manage their finances and plan for their next chapter.

Why your support matters: When young people are empowered with mentorship, financial support, and career-readiness resources, they gain the confidence and guidance needed to reach their full potential. With these opportunities, they make wiser choices, achieve greater success, and become active contributors to their communities. Research consistently shows that effective mentoring creates a powerful ripple effect—one that fosters lasting personal growth and strengthens the fabric of our society.

How your donation will be used:

  • $25 can provide a workbook for a financial literacy event

  • $100 can sponsor a full session of our Blueprint to Success program

  • $250 can fund one young person’s full participation in our Career Readiness Workshop

  • $500 can cover the cost of a Cub Scout's expenses for a year

  • $1500 (or more) can cover the expense of a child's registration fees at a partnering YMCA facility

  • $2500 can fully underwrite the cost of a scholarship
