A Time of Hope for Red Wolves
For 26 years, through good times and bad, the Red Wolf Coalition has been the hub of public support for red wolf restoration and recovery. Red wolves have come close once again to slipping into extinction in the wild, but this spring brings a renewal of hope and optimism:
- Fourteen pups have been born in the wild this spring to three pairs of parents!
- Public awareness and support are growing.
- USFWS Red Wolf Program is doubling down on restoration efforts.
- Mobile traffic signs (one funded by the RWC) are reducing vehicle strikes.
- The Red Wolf Center in Columbia, NC has become a work of wildlife art with its beautiful mural.
- Programs to benefit local landowners are up and running strong.
The Red Wolf Coalition is asking you to donate any amount, large or small, so that we can continue our education programs, increase our outreach, and sustain our direct support to the USFWS Red Wolf Recovery Program.
