NOVAC has shaped my story in ways I never could have predicted. I first walked through its doors as a sophomore in college, eager to learn through a cinematography training. Soon after, as a junior and a young mother, I returned as an intern, gaining not just experience, but direction. Today, I have the honor of serving as the Workforce Program Director at NOVAC. What began as an opportunity has come full circle into a purpose.

Along the way, I’ve learned that the most lasting lessons don’t just come from the work itself, but from the people who make that work meaningful. NOVAC is more than a creative space, it’s a community where stories are shared, skills are built, and voices are preserved. I believe our histories ground us and give shape to who we are becoming, and NOVAC plays a vital role in ensuring those histories are not only remembered, but actively created and sustained by the community.

Your support directly fuels that mission. Every dollar raised goes toward our Born Digital Youth Programs and Preservation Services. This summer, we’re hosting a FREE music video camp where young people will learn the full creative process, from concept to filming to editing and post-production. At the same time, our Preservation Services are helping individuals, filmmakers, and organizations safeguard their media and tell their stories for generations to come.
