Climbing the iconic El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, with its towering 3,000 vertical feet, is a monumental challenge that typically requires not only technical climbing skills but also the right weather conditions. Attempting this feat in November could be extremely challenging due to the colder temperatures, potential snowfall, and shorter daylight hours. It's important to prioritize safety and to be well-prepared for such an endeavor.
That said, the Climbing Challenge for Access with Catalyst Sports is an incredible opportunity to supporting a meaningful cause while doing what I know how to do best, climb! Instead of actually climbing El Capitan in November, I will be heading to the climate-controlled gym and climbing the heck out of the walls to promote accessibility in climbing and help grow our Louisville Chapter of adaptive climbers.
While I'm taking on this challenge, you can help me raise funds for a noble cause and make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with physical disabilities. As donors, you will not be let down. You know what they say.... "video or it didn't happen!" I will be offering "proof of footage climbed" content for all my loyal donors. Think it didn't happen? Can't believe I climbed that many feet in one sesh? Well think again because footage is coming in hot to a phone near you. You will have special access to sick send footage right here on my fundraising page. Want to see a dyno? Your request is my demand. While El Capitan may be a formidable goal for another time, this is a fantastic opportunity to challenge myself physically, see if "I still got it", and support a community that values adventure and inclusivity.
