8 to 24: The Mindset Movement

I had the privilege of meeting Kobe Bryant during my time working with the Lakers, and what stood out most wasn’t just his greatness on the court—it was the mindset he carried every single day. The “Mamba Mentality” wasn’t just a phrase. It was discipline, relentless dedication, and an undeniable passion for the game and for inspiring others.

You could feel it in the way he worked, the way he led, and the way he poured himself into everything he did. That same spirit continues to live on through the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.

The foundation was created to honor both Kobe and his daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, and its mission is to create opportunities for underserved athletes—giving young boys and girls access to sports, mentorship, and life-changing resources.

This fundraiser is about more than just raising money—it’s about continuing a legacy. A legacy of hard work, passion, and lifting others up.

If Kobe taught us anything, it’s that greatness isn’t given—it’s earned through commitment and belief. And through this foundation, that mindset is being passed on to the next generation.
