Give Atlanta for Giving Kitchen

Food service workers are vulnerable to crisis in any year. In 2020, shifts are down, savings are spent and stress is high. The thin ice is melting. I work with a small group of people fighting for those food service workers. Part of a larger group of people (see our Give Atlanta challengers) not accepting what 2020 is giving us, rolling up our sleeves and fighting back. Giving Kitchen provides emergency assistance to food service workers in crisis. Our stability network referral network has guided thousands of food service workers to food, housing, health care and mental health resources. Our financial assistance program for food service workers experiencing a death in the family, housing disaster, an injury or illness has provided over $700k in 2020 - with over $115k going to food service workers sick or quarantined with Covid-19.
