Isaac's fundraising for Festival Theatre 2024!

In its 32 years alive as a non-profit business, St. Croix Festival Theatre has achieved much. Over 195 plays produced, 500+ roles given to local youth performers often having their first foray into live theatre-making, dozens of concerts, and a mission that no matter what year I’ve been a part of the Festival Theatre family, they always strive toward and almost always achieve.

The mission of St. Croix Festival Theatre is to make the performing arts welcoming to all people as an essential part of the well being and vitality of the community.

It’s worth mentioning that on this big fundraising day for this company, your donation will be counted double, as we have a $10,000 matching donation from some very generous spirits who love this theatre/company as much as I do.

On a personal note, I have performed in 32 roles on the Festival Theatre stages (both the civic auditorium and the Franklin Square Black Box). I have stage managed, designed, directed, and more in my tenure here as well. To me, my own development as an adult entering the professional world and as someone pursuing a career in the arts is example of Festival’s massive movement as a career development business for artists.

Each summer 6-8 blooming professional artists make their way to St. Croix Falls from many states. In my time since I began working at Festival Theatre in 2011, I have collaborated with artists from over 24 states of the United States of America. Through years, I have personally had the privilege to work with over 125 unique professional artists (not to mention literally over 150 local youth performers in the 1-2 youth productions we've produced during my tenure), all finding their way here to rural Wisconsin in St. Croix Falls to collaborate in the incredible work of theatremaking. This summer, we invite 6 new interns/apprentices to experience the St. Croix Valley and the incredible development of our professional summer season, and so it will continue as long as we continue.

I am only one artist whose life has been affected by Festival’s existence, and this ask for support is only my ruminations of the professional development side of the company. Years have gone by, personnel have changed, yet the story of St. Croix Festival Theatre being a stronger theatre company than you’d expect in the St. Croix Valley and being a bunch of passionate, driven, caring individuals moving towards a common mission has remained the same.
