A Seat at the Table

More than twenty years ago, Pastor Joanne McGlocking of Hope & Deliverance Church answered a calling that God placed on her heart—to ensure that no one in our community would have to spend Thanksgiving or Christmas alone.

What began as a simple act of faith has become a cherished tradition known as A Seat at the Table, welcoming individuals and families with a warm meal, genuine fellowship, and the reminder that every person is valued and loved.

As Pastor Joanne's son, serving in this ministry has always been a part of my life. Years later, after founding Shinsei Martial Arts & Fitness Center, I began inviting our students and families to serve alongside us. What started with a few volunteers quickly grew into a lasting partnership as the Shinsei family embraced the vision and made it part of our own commitment to serving the community.

For more than fifteen years, Shinsei Martial Arts has proudly partnered with Hope & Deliverance Church by providing volunteers, mobilizing families, raising support, collecting donations, and helping expand the impact of A Seat at the Table. Together, we have witnessed the incredible difference a caring community can make in the lives of others.

Today, Shinsei Martial Arts is honored to continue serving as a nonprofit community partner in this long-standing ministry. Through the generosity of our supporters, we are able to help provide meals, children's Christmas gifts, event supplies, volunteer resources, and the organizational support needed to ensure this tradition continues for future generations.
