The Alliance was founded 24 years ago by New York City rape crisis centers -- those who help survivors recover from the impact of sexual violence -- who saw the need for an organization to prevent sexual violence and reduce the harm it causes through education, research, and advocacy. The Alliance works closely with community leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement promising practices and policies, raise public awareness, and create sustainable change for survivors.   One of The Alliance's gems is called Project Dream Own Tell (DOT), a unique, research-backed sexual violence prevention program that works with at-risk youth, training, and empowering them to become impactful organizers and change-makers to combat sexual violence in their own communities.

In September, The Alliance's Project DOT will be honored by The Kering Foundation which highlights the works of those addressing the needs of the 1 in 3 women worldwide who are victims of gender-based violence. Our goal is to continue the celebration, honoring the team who developed the program eight years ago and supporting those now bringing the curriculum to additional diverse communities.

Please join me on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 6:30-8:30PM. Donations of any size are much appreciated. Event address will be shared upon registration.
