Abe's Death Penalty Action Crowdfunder!

I'm raising money for Death Penalty Action because no other group in the country is leading on this issue in such a way as to lift up visibility and provide space for *anyone* who wants to be a part of the action.

I used to support the death penalty. Then I tried to prove the abolitionists were wrong. I found out that almost everything I believed about the death penalty was mistaken. The thing that changed my mind? learning that what matters more than anything else is the geography of county lines and county budgets. Or in the case of the federal death penalty, the arbitrariness of political appointments and the politics of who is in the presidency. It really doesn't matter what you do - it's where you do it. 

Pile on top of that the collateral damage to everyone involved, from victim families to the families of the condemned, from the first responders to the people who work in the court system to the jailers and executioners, the damage is system wide and completely unnecessary. 

It's time to end the death penalty. Together we will get it done. Thank you for investing in this vital work!
