The Charter Oak State College Alumni and Students are joining forces, as Acorns in Action, to support local community initiatives.
Our Rebuilding Together New Britain project will be helping a young single mother of two young children, ages 2 and 6, make her home safe.
Not only is our young mother a hard working single mother but, she is also a student! As a team of Acorns in Action, we will help keep the dream of homeownership going strong and make this home a safe place for her and her children to eat, sleep, and play.
Equipment and Material needs total $1,000 - the Student and Alumni Associations have committed $200 each ... $600 in donation is needed as well as volunteers.
