Adrienne Willis
Transplant Type: Bone Marrow
What if you were living on borrowed time?
Adrienne Willis has received a second chance. In 2018, she was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). Her diagnosis came as quite a shock as there is no family history of MDS. Doctors said a bone marrow transplant was critical to her survival. Thankfully, after two years of blood transfusions and multiple setbacks, Adrienne received her allogenic bone marrow transplant on August 25, 2020!
This has been a difficult time for Adrienne as she is used to being much more active and independent. While the past few years have been challenging, she is thankful that she received a transplant and is on the road to recovery. Adrienne looks forward to recovering fully from her procedure so that she may live her life to the fullest. She is ready to feel like herself again and participate in life without fear for her physical health, but right now, she needs your help.
Unfortunately, Adrienne’s new life comes at a very high price.
The average allogenic bone marrow transplant costs more than $1 million, and that is only the beginning. Even though her transplant has already taken place, and her insurance covered a portion of the costs, Adrienne still faces significant expenses related to the procedure. Adrienne’s declining health forced her to stop working, adding to the financial strain
You can help by making a tax-deductible donation to the National Foundation for Transplants in honor of Adrienne.
If you'd prefer to send your gift by mail, please send it to the National Foundation for Transplants, 3249 W. Sarazen’s Circle, Suite 100, Memphis, TN 38125. Please be sure to write "in honor of Adrienne Willis” in the memo line.
Thank you for your generosity!
