Hi friends!
As some of you may know, I serve as the Secretary on the board of MaineShare which is a non-profit that provides funding to over 40 Maine organizations including the ACLE, MAIN, and the Maine Audubon. Every year we do a board organizing campaign called Get Outside for Maine where we raise money while getting outside together. I'm inviting you to get outside with me over the course of the next two weekends!
For the next two Saturdays, I'm organizing a meet up to hike two mountains in the Southern Maine area. Next Saturday (10/10), we'll be hiking Sawyer Mountain, a lovely hike in the Limington area featuring a really cool stone fence (thin the end of Shawshank Redemption), really beautiful foliage, and a cemetery from the 19th century. The Saturday after that (10/17), we'll be doing Mount Cutler in Hiram, a slightly more challenging hike that features incredible views with long stretches of flat trail near the summit.
I'm inviting you to join me outside and if you make a donation to MaineShare's Get Outside for Maine campaign, I'll provide a refreshment for you to enjoy at the summit. If you don't feel like joining me for a hike, please consider donating!
