Ariella Lerner - Team Israel

Israel has always had a special place in my heart. My mother is a second generation Sabra and many of my family members live in Israel today. I grew up with strong ties to Israel that have only grown stronger as I got older. Continuing in my father's footsteps, I had my bat-mitzvah in Israel. As part of my mitzvah project, I was able to donate lacrosse equipment to Team Israel Lacrosse during their infancy. That trip to Israel and my time working with Team Israel Lacrosse strengthened my connection to Israel even more. A few years ago, I was fortunate enough to play for the US team in the first ever Maccabi Lacrosse games in Israel. Playing the sport that I am so passionate about in Israel, a country that I love so much, was an incredible experience. 

I am honored to represent Team Israel in the upcoming U19 World Championships this summer of 2019. I look forward to proudly wearing blue and white and to be surrounded by players from all over the world. I hope that my participation with Israel Lacrosse this summer will be one of many opportunities to support Team Israel.
